Actor and former Scientologist Jason Beghe is speaking out against the cult, erm, church now. In the above YouTube clip, Beghe talks about how Scientology is a dangerous ripoff. "If Scientology is real, then something's f--ked up," Beghe says. "'Cos it ain't delivering what it's promised. That's for god--mn sure. It is not. It says it delivers what it promises, where is the f--king Clear? You're talking about OT -- let me meet a motherf--king Clear. I would like to meet a f--king Clear. I'm Clear... right? I'm declared Clear as a f--king bell."For those who don't know, a Clear in Scientology is someone who has been "cleared of all negative influences." An OT (Operating Thetan) is a spiritual state above Clear. After OT, there are levels OT I through OT VIII. Apparently Beghe was an OT V, which means he's given the Church of Scientology a lot of his time and money to be brainwashed/audited by them. Okay, so I don't know what my deal is with the private cabins, but I seem to be drawn to resorts with them. There are not rates listed on the website, but I am waiting for a call back from the group reservations person. The cabins all have private bedrooms and baths, so I think it would satisfy those who want their own rooms as well as those who wouldn't mind sharing a cabin. I have also had a couple of people say they would rather go to southern Utah, and no one else has said whether they car either way. So if you care, let me know!!! Actor Stanley Kamel was found dead in his Hollywood home yesterday reports Access Hollywood. He was 65. Cause of death is not known.Stanely is best known for playing Dr. Charles Kroger on "Monk." However, I immediately recognized Stanley as Rebecca Gayheart's father on "Beverly Hills 90210." His character, Tony, hired a hit on Dylan, because he didn't approve of him marrying his daughter. Michael Monsoor was presented with the medal of Honor for laying his life down for his fellow comrades. Chicago playwright Tracy Letts wins the Pulitzer Prize for drama

The Chicago playwright Tracy Letts has won the Pulitzer Prize in drama for "August: Osage County," cementing his position among the top tier of living American playwrights and making an inarguable case that "August" is among the most important works of literature ever to emerge from Letts' adopted home town."This is just terrific," Letts said Monday. "I'm happy, sad, all of those things."This is the first time ever that a playwright who lives in Chicago has won the Pulitzer for a play that premiered in Chicago. Several other Pulitzer winners have had Chicago connections. David Mamet's "Glengarry Glen Ross" won the Pulitzer in 1984, but that play began in London. And David Auburn's Pulitzer Prize-winning "Proof" was set on Chicago's South Side, but did not premiere here. The honor, which was widely predicted but officially announced in New York on Monday afternoon, is the most prestigious American award for dramatic literature. It honors the play, as distinct from the Steppenwolf Theatre Company production that bowed to critical and popular acclaim in Chicago last summer and continues to do profitable business on Broadway. The Pulitzer has a bittersweet aspect for Letts. His father, the actor Dennis Letts, appeared in the original cast of "August" in both Chicago and New York. The elder Letts died in February, after a battle with lung cancer. "My dad was much more sure of this than me," Letts said. "He was telling me some months ago that this was a shoo-in. But I didn't believe him." The award interrupted a scheduled Steppenwolf reading of Letts' latest play, "Superior Donuts." "It's in rough shape," Letts said of his newest drama. Air America Host Suspended for Clinton Remarks

Randi Rhodes, an afternoon host for the progressive Air America radio network, was suspended Thursday after repeatedly insulting Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton at an event last month. Ms. Rhodes used vulgar language that likened Mrs. Clinton to a prostitute at an event sponsored by KKGN, the Air America affiliate in the San Francisco area, on March 22. A video of Ms. Rhodes remarks was published to the video-sharing Web site YouTube on Tuesday, prompting condemnations by some bloggers. In a statement, Charlie Kireker, the chair of Air America, said the radio network encourages strong opinions about public affairs but does not condone such abusive, ad hominem language by our hosts.The network called Ms. Rhodes suspension indefinite and did not elaborate on the fate of her daily three-hour radio show. The Randi Rhodes Show is normally broadcast from 3 to 6 p.m. weekdays. Sam Seder, another Air America host, was scheduled to fill in for Ms. Rhodes on Thursday. On the video, Ms. Rhodes is also shown using derogatory language to describe Geraldine A. Ferraro, a former congresswoman and a supporter of Mrs. Clinton. Ms. Ferraro resigned from a committee of Mrs. Clintons campaign last month after making controversial remarks about Senator Barack Obama. Earlier this year, David Shuster, a reporter for MSNBC, was been suspended because of comments he made about Chelsea Clinton. Mr. Shuster said Ms. Clinton had been pimped out to make calls to superdelegates on behalf of her mother.

An unhinged tirade by Air America Radio host Randi Rhodes has led to an unprecedented suspension from the network, according to its new management and several left- wing websites. This is a breaking story with details still emerging.In a rant so salty it could make a sailor blush, Rhodes repeatedly called Hillary a "big f***ing whore", to both cheers and jeers from the audience. Husband Of Sen Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) Caught In Prostitution Sting

TROY -- The co-founder and former CEO of the liberal-progressive Democracy Radio and husband of U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow was caught in February by a Troy police sting aimed at catching prostitutes, according to a police report.Thomas L. Athans was stopped Feb. 26 by undercover officers investigating a possible prostitution ring in a room at the Residence Inn near Big Beaver and Interstate 75. Athans paid a 20-year-old prostitute $150 for sex in a Troy hotel but was not arrested, according to police reports obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request by The Detroit News. The police report said officers observed Athans enter a room under surveillance and leave 15 minutes later. Detectives followed and stopped Athans' silver 2002 Cadillac DeVille on Interstate 75 near Square Lake Road.Athans told police he stopped at the hotel to see a female friend he met online. After calling her on his cell phone, he was given a room number and met the woman at the door. Once inside he placed $150 on a counter top. The woman collected the money and performed oral sex on him, Athans told police.Officers entered the room and found sex toys, condoms, $431 in cash and a laptop computer. They arrested the woman, identified as Alycia Lorraine Martin, and charged her with prostitution.
